Margaret Schwartz. Painting, Drawing, Bookmaking
I'm a visual artist, concentrating in acrylic and oil painting, drawing and bookmaking. After a long corporate career I'm happy to be creating colorful works of art. I've studied for over 25 years whenever I could at various schools including the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and The Art School at Laguna Gloria in Austin, TX. I have also worked privately under well known Texas artists Phillip Wade, Linda Montagnani and Qiang Huang.

My paintings have been hung in Austin at The Happy Salon, The University of Phoenix, BookPeople and other venues. Some of the paintings are available as prints at FineArtAmerica.com. Contact me if you are interested in buying an original.
This is an original acrylic painting of a fox terrier puppy. It was created using a combination of abstract and representational techniques, influenced by fauvism. The bright colors reflect vibrant puppy energy. The grid work brings the background to life and can be faintly seen throughout the whole painting. Prints available at FineArtAmerica.com
